I've been using Blueair Classic for a number of years. We typically just use the daily schedule to control the fan speed on the larger unit. However, in the last several months the unit did its own thing. Randomly speeding up or slowing down on its own. Now when I open the app, my unit usually shows "offline" even though its connected to wifi. After going through the troubleshooting steps, and reloading the app, the only anserw we came up with was to turn off Wi-Fi and control it manually.

Had 7770i for over a year. Connected with app great for a first 3 months. Ever since, terrible. Done app updates, restarts, changed modem settings. The billion other things in my house that have to connect to wifi work fine, not the 7770i. I also have above average tech knowledge and skills, so its defintely something blu air needs to figure out. I'm guessing it's an issue with the actual filter and not the app. Blu air needs to show they are professionals and fix these things free of charge.

App was a bit hard to set up because of the need to have my router throttled back. I have twice tried to order replacement filters (which should be a nice high-margin business transaction for them) without success. The absence of timely feedback on my phone, the number of overlapping click targets, and a 404 error in the last step of checkout make me think the app is worthless for ordering. I have no idea whether the app is responsible for the filter unit powering off and on every few minutes.
